There is a pleasant infromation from Europe for Georgian rugby fans. There was spread information rhat Davit Khinchagashvili the first-liner of Georgian national team returns to French first Elite Division Top 14 after resting for several months. As for Dimitri Basilaia the third liner of Georgian national team, he has recovered and soon appears on the pitch.
30-year-old Khinchagashvili has been playing in France since 2004 and he always plays high class rugby. He used to play for “Baziers”, then for “Burguen” and since 2007 he has been playing for “Brive” in Top 14. After ending the previous championship, “Brive” plays in Pro D2 and as a result Khinchagishvili also plays for Pro D2. There has been recently spread infromation that “Racing Metro” one of the Top 14 clubs is interested with Khinchagishvili and in the nearest future there will be made an agreement between them.
This following information has not proved at the official web-site of the clubs and relevantly, the dates and details of this agreement are not known. Khinchagashvili played 14 matches for Georgian national team and scored 4 tries.
As for 27-year-old Dimitri Basilaia who plays for Scotish “Edinburg”, he gained trauma about a month and a half before and that’s why he could not help Georgian national team against Japan and Fiji. Now he has recovered and the head coach of “Edinburg” entered him in the fourth round match lineups in “Haineken Cup”, but he did not participate in the match, there was heavy rain and as it seems he did not take any risk and did not play. Supposedly on December 21 he will play against “Celts League” against “Glazgow”.
