The match between Temur Ketsbaia and Otar Gabelia’s teams was spectacular for spectators and important for players who held this match at technical-centre “Basa”. Temur Ketsbaia’s team won over Gabelia’s one 3:2 in friendly match, but the result is less important – the main is that both of the coaches saw better their players’ readiness…
Both of the teams are preparing for the matches against Croatian National Teams on June 3. Difficult matches are ahead them. U-21 team is to hold the first qualifying match of Euro-2013 and Ketsbaia’s team will try again to beat Croatian National Team.
There were spectators, coaches, active and veteran football players, “Georgian Sport Fans” at “Basa”.. There were nearly 100-200 men at tribunes, where are individual chairs. The field is really amazing. Lado Dvalishvili joined national tea, so 22 players are under Ketsbaia. Dvalishvili did not play at “Basa”, coach decided to let him rest.
Zurab Khizanishvili of “Reading” and Georgian players who compete at Russian Premier League are to arrive.. Gocha Khijava, Gia Grigalava, Mate Vatsadze and Lasha Salukvadze will join the team later because their club-“Volga” holds Premier League match on Monday.
As for U-21 tea,, Nika Dzalamadze of “Widzew” and Giorgi Makaridze goalkeeper of “Le Mans” are to arrive. Tornike Okriashvili cannot play for U-21 due to his injury. Levan Mchedlidze and Irakli Shekiladze forwards of “Empole” were at “Basa” but they did not play. Tornike Tarkhnishvili (“Torpedo” Kutaisi), Lasha Kalandadze and Nika Jishkariani (both of them “Gagra”) also had rest, they played in final match of Georgian Cup on May 26.
As for the test match at “Basa”, Ketsbaia made only Davit Kvirkvelia play for full time, the reason is clear: at the end of April Kvirkvelia of “Panionios” finished season and he had not played for a long time. Before the second half he played as left-wing midfielder (once kicked the ball and it touched the goalpost) after Sando Guruli’s appearing on the field, he played in Kakha Kaladze’s position as left-wing defender.
Irakli Maisuradze midfielder of “Olimpi” Rustavi participated twice in this match. He played in the first half and after changing at the 67th minutes he appeared on the field again. Maisuradze left quite good impression.
Jaba Lipartia midfielder of “Zaria” was very active, but in spite of this Aleksandre Iashvili and Irakli Modebadze, who scored 2 goals were the best players in the first half. Akaki Khubutia and Guram Kashia played in defense line, later they were replaced by Giorgi Rekhviashvili and Giorgi Khidesheli.
Giorgi Adamia, Sando Guruli and Maisuarsze were the most distinguished players in the second half.
As for U-21 team, Giorgi Chanturia forward of “Vitesse” and Vako Kazaishvili midfielder of “Sioni” double’s team were distinguished. Levan Kakubava defender of “Dinamo” Tbilisi played for full time and he left good impression (it is not surprising, because he is the most experienced in Gabelia’s team)
As for the second half – Zakaia Beglarashvili midfielder of “Flora” was the best player. Nika Kvekveskiri also did well, he played in two difference positions and at the last minute he scored.
As for goalkeepers: Giorgi Nadiradze parried all the kicks, as for Tornike Zarkua.. His playing was very weak, he was evidently worrying. He could play better.
As for goals: Lobjanidze assisted from the right wing, Zarkua dropped the ball and Modebadze used it well – 1:0; Chanturia kicked from the right wing in direction of goal, Giorgi Loria could not keep the ball in his hands, Nika Sabanadze forward of “Torpedo” used it well – 1:1. Lobjanidze assisted from the right wing, Modebadze scored by head – 2:1. Iashvili kicked by the left leg, a little ricochet and 3:1; and at the last minute Kvekveskiri kicked drop kick well – 3:2.
