Georgian U-17 National Team ha sjust returned from Turkey, where they participated in “Kushadas Cup” and took the second place. After winning sub-group stage Georgian U-17 lost with Turkish team (0:3).
Vasil Maisuradze head coach of Georgian U-17 Ntional Team gave an interview to official web-site of Georgian Football Federation.
Vasil Maisuradze:” The tournament was organized in a high level. For making comfort to teams were organized every small detail. After finishing matches were given video records at once and suitibly we had chance of preparing wel l for the next match”.
Firstly head coach of the team is satified that his team got big experience at tthis tournament.
“Our players have never compete at such tournaments before. Some of them played first time on the field with natural lawn. In a world I am very satisfied. We held really good matches. We played well against East Turksish team 1:1. I cannot say that the rival had big advantages in final match than we did. We got tired very soon and the first goal which was scored in our goal phsicologicaly effected on our players. These matches showed that our players are not phisicaly well prepared”- stated Maisuradze.
–Can you say other details about final match?
– I have already mentioned that our player got tired earlier than our rivals. Children’s football is very developed in West Turkey and it reflected on them.
–Which is difficult wing in Georgian team?
–Firstly we have goalkeeper’s problem. This isreally serious. There were done some mistakes in other wings, for example in defense and in midfield, we need to strengthen these wings too.
–Nika Akhvlediani became the best midfielder of the tournament…
–Nika is central midfielder and he has a lot of opportunities. In my opinion he showed half of his possibilities at this tournament.
I have instructed all of them, how they should work in their clubs for being well prepared,
At the end o f April Georgian U-17 Team is to compete at “President’s Cup” in Kazakhstan. According to Maisuradze there will be some changes but the main staff will be the same in 85-90 %.
Supposedly U-17 team will have 10-day meeting.
