Kaladze Leaves the National Team

Kakha Kaladze, captain of Georgian national football team, leaves the first team of the country. He stated about it at the presentation of public movement “Georgian Dream” which is held at Tbilisi Event Hall.

“I, captain of the national team, who have held 83 matches in the national team am leaving it. It is very difficult for me to make this decision. I have spent 15 years in this team and I remember one match very badly (two auto goals against Italy on September 5, 2009). Everything was occasional but I want to apologize for it”, - stated Kaladze.

The match against Greece (October 11, 2011) was the 50th match for 33-year-old defender of “Genoa”. That match seemed the last for him as a captain of Georgian national team.
