Georgian Judo players who have returned from Prague “Judo European Cup” met Georgia’s Minister of Sport Lado Vardzelashvili in the Judo Academy named after Shota Chochishvili. TheLeadership of the Judo Federation introduced champions of the current Championship and showed gymnasiums in the sport centre to the quest.Georgian Youth Judo Team won 3golden, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals in the International Tournament which was held in the capital city of Czech Republic, Prague. They got the first place with such results. Lasa Shavdatuashvili (66kg) Betkil Aprasidze (73) and Avtandil Chrikishvili (81) became champions.Otar Kaidarashvili(55kg) and Shmagi Lagazauri (60kg) won silver medals.Giorgi Nozadze (90kg)won bronze medal.”16-17 years ago I was training in this sport centre, at that time this place was not such tidy and beautiful. Now sportsmen have all kind of high standard of conditions for training and it reflected on their results too. I am glad that appeared talented new generation.Congratulations such success in” European Cup”. I hope you will not disgrace yourselves at European Judo and World Championships also and will wrestle in the main staff in the future. From the Georgian Ministry of Sport you will have strong support.”-stated Lado Vardzelashvili. The first Vice-President Giorgi Aleqsidze who attends to President Dilar KHabuliani’s duty thanked the minister for visiting. He also thanked sportsmen and wished success in European and World Championships.  
Main coach of the team Soso Liparteliani estimating of “European Cup” said that staffing process in new team has not finished yet.
The main candidates of team staff were showed in Georgian Judo Championship which was held at the end of May. We gave chance to them participate in three tournaments and except two weight categories, everything is clear in interior competition. We will fill requisition form for European Championship for 90 and heavy weight categories at closing repetition meeting, which  will start on September 1 in Dusheti. Before this, we will go to Bakuriani and pay strong attention to physical preparation”- said Liparteliani.
 We remind you, that Cadet European Championship will be held on September 21-24 in the city of Sophia. On October 21-24 Maroco will host the World Championship. Georgian team is not meeting even once between these two main tournaments and the Leadership of the Federation asks Minister of Sport to finance. Minister accepted and joked-first let us see how you will play in the European Championship.
