Jobava still cannot Win

 

One round is left till the end of The Black Sea Cup which is under way in the city of Bulgaria, Burgas. Georgian grandmaster Baadur Jobava (2734) still has only one point.

Jobava managed to gain the point against outsider Suat Atalik (2603) in the first round. In the previous round the Georgian played against the Turkish chess player once again and this time the game ended up draw. After 9 rounds Baadur has 3.0 points and is in the second place from the bottom.

In the last round the Georgian chess player will play against Ivan Cheparinov of Bulgaria (2689) with white pieces. The Bulgarian is in the first place with 6.5 points. Vladimir Malakhov of Russia (2700) is behind him with 0.5 point. Romanian Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu (2648) and Ukrainian Alexander Areshchenko (2734) have 5-5 points.
