In the previous rounds Baadur played draw with Alexander Areshchenko of Ukraine (2702). Then he lost to Ivan Cheparinov of Bulgaria (2689). Like Suat Atalik of Turkey (2603), Jobava has 1.0 point.

Cheparinov is leading with 3.0 points. Vladim Malakhov of Russia (2700) and Areshchenko have 2.5-2.5 points.

Prize money of Black Sea Cup is 10 000 EUR, where the winner will gain 2 750 EUR. The tournament will be held in two circles and ten rounds and will finish on September 19.
