Baadur Jobava, member of Georgian men’s chess team, moved up to the 21st place in a renewed chess ranking of FIDE. It is his highest ranking. Jobava has 2730 points and is two points behind Victor Bologan of Moldova.
Magnus Carlsen of Norway (2837) is leading the ranking. Levon Aronian of Armenia (2816) is in the second place. Another member of Georgian team is in Top 100. Mikheil Mchedlishvili (2656) is in the 100th place.
We have better condition in women’s ranking where 12 Georgians are in Top 100. Nana Dzagnidze (2547) is in the 6t place. Bela Khotenashvili (2505) is in Top 20. Here are others’ conditions:

Judit Polgar of Hungary is still leading women’s ranking for the 54th time. Yifan Houw of China (2617), Anna Muzychuk of Slovenia (2606), Humpy Koneru of India (2598) and Xue Zhao of China (2556) are between Polgar and Dzagnidze.
Fabio Caruana of Italy (2775) is leading U-20 boys’ ranking. We do not have representative there. Nazi Paikidze (2381) and Meri Arabidze (2379) are in the 5th-6th places on girls’ ranking. Hou is leading the ranking for the 24th time.
