Two Georgian tennis players participated in the qualifying round of French Open. Though, they competed unsuccessfully – Oksana Kalashnikova and Maka Chakhnashvili lost the first round of “Roland Garros”. Kalashnikova was close to success. She lost to Misaki Doi of Japan 3:6, 6:3, 6:8. Chakhnashvili lost to Yurika Sema of Japan 6:2, 2:6, 1:6.

Georgian best tennis player Anna Tatishvili will start participation from the main draw and her opponent will be known later.

Sofia Shapatava and Sofia Kvatsabaia competed in Astana tournament (Kazakhstan, 25 000 USD). In the first round No.5 seed Shapatava lost to Kateryna Kozlova 7:5, 3:6, 2:6 and Kvatsabaia – to Kamila Kerimbayeva of Kazakhstan 3:6, 4:6.
