Victory of national team is always happy news but it does not give optimism against the national team which is in the 110th place in the world ranking. It was known that weak Luxembourg was not opponent which would find out preparation level of Temur Ketsbaia’s players but playing against Luc Holtz helped us make one conclusion – Georgian national team must play better.
At the beginning of the match Levan Mchedlidze scored goal. The hosts started playing actively and made some less dangerous attacks. The moment at the 9th minute is worth mentioning when Giorgi Loria saved Georgians goal.
At the 14th minute Guram Kashia pushed the opponent in his penalty area. Referee sent off the Georgian defender – “Crusaders” were left with 10 players.
The players of Temur Ketsbaia played actively in the second half and they second the second goal. At the 34th minute after the assist of Kankava, Mchedlidze assisted Amisulashvili who scored goal.
The second half started with attacks of the Georgians. At the 48th minute Ananidze kick the ball in empty goal but defender saved the hosts.
After the break, the Georgians controlled the match till the 75th minute. The teams played especially actively in the last 15 minutes.
At the 81st minute after the host of Daushvili crossbar saved Luxembourg. Sirbiladze scored goal but referee did not count it because of offside.
After that the hosts attacked the Georgians. The ball touched the hand of Khubutia and the referee awarded with penalty. While the first run Joachim did not kick the ball. The referee gave him yellow card. At the second attempt the Luxembourger forward scored penalty.
At the third extra time Joachim kicked the ball but the Georgian goalkeeper parried easily.
Finally, the Georgian national team defeated Luxembourg but perhaps, this match will be in passive of Ketsbaia’s team, not in active.
