“Panionios” Athens still has financial problem. That is why, Davit Kvirkvelia is leaving the team. According to the Greek editions (Sport24, Gazzetta), Georgian football player is going to Cypriot “Anorthosis”.

Giorgi Kinkladze is a technical director of “Anorthosis”. Yet, the teams have to agree on some financial details.

Rumors that Kvirkvelia was leaving “Panionios” started in December. Greek “Panetolikos” was also interested in Georgian football player but finally – “Anorthosis”…

“Anorthosis” is not so strong team as it was while coaching of Temur Ketsbaia. Though, it is fighting for championship – it is in the fourth place and is 3 points behind leader “Omonia”. Jewish specialist Ronny Levy is coaching “Anorthosis”.

Kvirkvelia transferred to “Panionios” last year and played for the main staff regularly. He was captain of the team in some matches.
