A veteran Georgian basketball player Irkli Tortladze backs to sport after 13-year pause. He will tran 10-12 years old sportsmen at “Dinamo”base located in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi.
Tortladze stated this information in a talk with “World Sport”. He was born in 1974 and was playing in Georgian clubs “Dinamo” , STU and “Tors” Tbilisi. He was playing as a midfielder and was considered as a prospective sportsman. At the age of 23 he was obliged to leave actove sport. He started working as a trainer, by profession he is an engineer and when he left sport started working with his profession.
Irakli keeps his family tradition. His father Boris Tortladze also was a trainer and a brother was a very famous basketball player in Georgian sport Dato Tortladze. Nowadays his brother is a trainer of “Dinamo” which compete in Super League.
