17-year-old Irakli Bolkvadze successfully competed in European Swimming Championship in the city of Hungary, Debrecen. He made Olympic norm and won a right to participate in London Olympic Games. Bolkvadze took the 24th place in swimming 200 meters with breaststroke. He gained Olympic license – swam 200 meters in 2.16.35 minutes. It is interesting that none of Georgian swimmers have such good result in history of independent Georgia. According to press office of Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, on May 27 Bolkvadze will compete in complex swimming of 400 meters.
There are 29 license winners in Georgian Olympic delegation. London Summer Olympic Games will start on May 27.
