Today, Georgian Basketball Federation has drawn up a new contract (system – 2+2) with Serbian coach Igor Kokoskov. Besik Liparteliani, president of the federation, and Igor Kokoskov signed the contract. After that, they talked about the future plans.

Besik Liparteliani: “We think that Igor Kokoskov has worked well for last 4 years and continuing collaboration with him is a right decision. As for the future plans, we are planning to renew the national team. We hope that it will help us to get in the final round of EuroBasket”.

Igor Kokoskov: “I am very happy to be in Georgia. I feel like I am at home. As for the contract, it is just formality. We will continue working like we did before and we will try to win all games. Quite strong teams will compete in EuroBasket 2013 though we hope we will improve our result because people will not forgive us a worse one”.
