If Georgia and Azerbaijan will not win a right to host European Championship 2020, then they will make statement for Euro-2024. Lado Vardzelashvili, minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, stated about it today.

“We knew that we would have many strong opponents. It does not mean that we do not have a chance to win this right. We continue working with Azerbaijani side and do not change our plans. There is plenty of time for preparation till 2020. If we cannot reach our goal this time, our work would not be done in vain because we can make a statement for Euro-2024” – stated Vardzelashvili.

Besides Georgia and Azerbaijan, Turkey also wants to host Euro 2020. Perhaps, the following countries will also have a desire to host the tournament: Holland, Belgium, Romania-Bulgaria, Czech Republic-Slovakia, Bosnia-Croatia-Serbia and Ireland-Scotland-Wales.
