Shota Gogisvanidze, member of Georgian national youth Greco-Roman style wrestling team again was close to winning World Championship – he lost final match at World Youth Championship, ongoing in the city of Thailand, Pattaya and again won silver medal. As for Georgian team, it won two silvers and one bronze.
“Before final match Gogisvanidze wrestled very well. He beat South Korean Ji-Yung Park, Uzbek Sherzod Akbarov and Chinese Yanan Zhang, he used one minute for these three victories. It goes without saying that coaches of Hungarian Balint Lam paid to it attention and chose close tactic. This wrestles is higher than two meters as for the weight, he weights 135 kg. Due to such physical condition such tactic justified their expectations. As for other three Georgians, Nika Tsetskhladze (55 kg) lost at the beginning of the competittion, Giorgi Davitaia (66 kg) and Robert Kobliashvili (84 kg) lost chance of fighting for bronze medal in quarter-final”-Malkhaz Jorbenadze general secretary of Georgian national wrestling federation told to ‘World Sport”. Jorbenadze is in Thailand with the team now.
Tomorrow-the day after tomorrow champions and prize winners will be found out among girls. On 8-9 September champions and prize winner will be found out among youth teams.
