Yifan Hou (2617) of China is winner of the fifth stage of FIDE Grand Prix ongoing in the city of Armenia, Jermuk. As a result Hou gained 130 points and totally advanced convincingly.
In the 11st round Hou lost with Ukrainian Caterina Lahno (2537) with black pieces and as a result Lahno took the third place with 6.5 point as for her, she became champion with 7.0 points. Russian Nadezhda Kosintseva (2516) who also managed to gain 6.5 points could not take the second place, because Lahno has better additional points.
The tournament was unsuccessful for the only Georgian participant. In the last round Nino Khurtsidze (2456) lost with Armenian Lilit Mkrtchyan (2450) with black pieces. Khurstidze gained only 3.5 points. As a result, Khurstidze took the last place among 12 participants and earned only 10 ranking points.
