He Is Proud to Be Georgian

While some Georgian players are becoming citizen of foreign country and do not think about playing for Georgian national team, German boy did in other way- Luca Hufnagel is Georgian now, he was given Georgian passport in press conference hall of "National" stadium.
Luca Hufnagel, midfielder of U-17 "Bayern" Munich, was so excited that he could say only one sentence - "I am very proud". After some minutes, he said shyly: "Why should I have refused to play for Georgian U-17 team? I am half Georgian. I always had desire to play for Georgian team. I will do my best. Coaches and players greeted me well and I am happy".
"World Sport" often wrote about Luca Hufnagel but here is his brief biography: Luca's mother is Georgian Pikria Aptsiauri and father is Christian Hufnagel. The family lives in Munich. Christian is journalist of newspaper "Süddeutsche Zeitung" and is children's team coach at "Bayern" academy. Luca has 18-year-old brother Sandro who is forward of one of Munich teams. Luca and Sandro come to Georgia in every summer.
Christian Hufnagel was never against the choice of his son. Pikria Aptsiauri met authorities of Georgian Football Federation. GFF and Zhorzhikashvili, head coach of U-17 team, were interested in Luca. First Luca played at Ibiza tournament, then at Latvian Palanga Cup with Georgian team. "German-Georgian" was named as the best midfielder in Palanga.
Luca studied at "Bayern" school and now Stephan, son of Franz Beckenbauer, is training him. As for his playing, Luca has good assists. He knows a little Georgian but he hardly speaks in Georgian.
We will see everything in these three matches. The fact is that player of U-17 "Bayern" Munich who lives in Germany will play for Georgian team.
