Guram Perseladze is Disqualified for 6 Months

International Judo Federation disqualified Guram Perseladze heavy-weight wrestler of Georgian Greco-Roman style wrestler for six months. As for Georgian federation it was fined with 12 000 USD.
“Two weeks ago FILA informed us about sanction, but we did not respond it at once. We applied to International federation for solving this problem. Unfortunately, protest did not work. We were told that we can apply Swiss court. This procedure needs so much time and money that we think that it is impossible to do. Two passports of Perselidze are the reasons of disqualification and financial fine. Several years ago, by the initiative of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, we started strict fight against changing age. Then we improved all mistakes. Some other members of Georgian national team gained new passports too and that’s why the little difference between new and old passport was reason of this sanction. As for us, we were punished for improving the mistakes”- stated Malkhaz Jorbenadze general secretary of Georgian Wrestling Federation to “World Sport”.
There is not mentioned in the verdict of FILA, when Georgian Wrestling Federation has to pay the fine. Supposedly, it must happen in the nearest months. In other case, this sanction will be more complicated and Georgian national team might be prohibited to compete at international tournaments. The worse thing is that, besides Guram Perseladze, other Georgian wrestlers might have some abolishes.
