Besik Guchashvili (55kg), member of Georgian freestyle wrestling team, is in semifinal of European Championship which is underway in Belgrade. Malkhaz Zarkua (60kg) lost to Togrul Asgarov of Azerbaijan in ¼ final. If Asgarov goes through the final, Zarkua will have a right to wrestle for bronze medal.

Alexandru Chirtoaka of Moldova will be opponent of Guchashvili in semifinal. Jamal Otarsultanov of Russia and Mihran Jaburyan of Armenia will wrestle in the second semifinal.
