Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team is training for Olympic Games. The team of Begi Darchia was in the USA where it defeated the host team 4:3 at “Curby Cup”. After returning to Tbilisi, the team left for Armenia in two days. Georgians are holding meeting in Tsaghkadzor.
Georgian team gained Olympic licenses in six weight classes. Head coach took 2-2 candidates of these weight classes to Armenia: Revaz Lashkhi and Kemal Kharabadze – in 60kg, Manuchar Tskhadaia and Paata Bakuridze – in 66kg, Manuchar Kvirkvelia and Zurab Datunashvili – in 74kg, Vladimer Gegeshidze and Revaz Nadareishvili – in 84kg, Soso Jabidze and Amiran Zarnadze – in 96kg and Guram Perselidze and Sergo Gogisvanidze – in +100kg.
Tsaghkadzor meeting will end up on June 10. Dusheti meeting is also in the plan. After its end, the team will depart for Germany and will wrestle at Dortmund “Grand Prix” from June 30 to July 2. Two meetings will be held after this tournament. The first will take place in Minsk and the second – in Borjomi.
