Greco-Romans Planned Minsk and Nice

 

At the end of November, candidates of Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team will compete in two international tournaments. Belarus will host one of them and France – the other one.

On November 26, in Minsk, Georgian team will participate in the Oleg Karavaev tournament with optimum staff. Head coach Begi Darchia and his assistant Akaki Chachua will take the following wrestlers with them:  Lasha Gogitadze (55 kg), Revaz Lashkhi (60 kg), Archil Turmanidze (66 kg), Manuchar Tskhadaia, Manuchar Kvirkvelia (both 74 kg), Vladimer Gegeshidze (84 kg), Soso Jabidze (96 kg) and Sergo Gogisvanidze (120 kg).

According to the official website of International Wrestling Federation, teams of 10 countries will compete in the tournament: Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, France, USA and Poland. Two subgroups will be created and winners will wrestle against each other in final. The second placed of the group will wrestle for the third place. Temur Kazarashvili, vice-president of Georgian Wrestling Federation, will leave for Belarus with the team. He is invited to the tournament as a referee.

Along with Minsk, international tournament will take place in Nice. The following wrestlers will wrestle on the French mat on November 25-26: Kemal Kharabadze (60 kg), Mukhran Machutadze (66 kg), Genadi Gogishvili, Zurab Datunashvili (both 74 kg), Revaz Nadareishvili (84 kg), Ramaz Nozadze and Sandro Dikhaminjia (96 kg). Otar Tatishvili and Jemal Bakuridze will take the team in France. Edisher Machaidze will judge the tournament.
