Georgian U-18 rugby team which held a match against Italy at European Championship was left with 12 players for 5 minutes. Referee sin-binned three rugby players but our boys managed to equalize score and even to gain victory – 20:18!

It was the match for V-VIII places. Young Georgians started really bad and were scored two tries at the beginning of the match. The players of Ilia Maisuradze managed to score try and conversion. At the end of the match Georgian team could have scored two penalties but they could not do it. The first half ended 10:12 in the favor of Italians.

In the second half referee sin-binned two Georgian rugby players in two minutes. Soon, he showed yellow card to the third Georgian. Italians kicked penalties in goal in the first two cases and advanced 18:10. Then, they attacked to score a try but Georgians parried their attacks and even attacked themselves.

One sin-binned rugby player returned. Then, another one joined him and soon Georgian team scored penalty. At that time, Italian rugby player was sin-binned and Georgian staff was filled. Georgians attacked, scored try and equalized the score. After conversion Georgians gained victory!

Now Georgian team will play against Scotland for V place.

Scotland defeated Portugal 35:12. It means that Georgian team changed balance in Top 6 of Europe!
