Grand Prix without Georgian Medals

In two hours champions and prize winners will found out in 60, 66 and 73 weight categories at Grand Prix which is held in the city of Germany, Dusseldorf. Members of Georgian National Judo Team have already finished fighting for medals. Today Amiran Papinashvili, Davit Asumbani (both of them 60 kg) and Nugzar Tatalashvili (73 kg) members of Georgian team competed at this tournament. Papinashvili wrestled better than others, he stayed beyond the tournament after competing in quarter final with Jin-Min Yang of South Korea. Before quarter final he managed to win over Finn Valter Iokinen and German Tobias Englmaier. Repechage’s rule does not work at Grand Prix. Papinashvili took the 5th place. Asumbani started competition with winning over Kazakh Kosaiev who was the finalist of Tbilisi World Cup. But he lost with Georgian Giorgi Zantaraia (World Champion) who represented Ukraine in 1/16 final.
Tatalashvili won over German Rene Schneide, but could not manage to beat Estonian Kinter Rotberg.
