Gorgodze Is through without Holding a Match

 

Georgian tennis player Ekaterine Gorgodze won a right to play in ¼ final of the Antalya tournament (Turkey, 10 000 USD) without holding a match. In the second round, Gorgodze was to play against Valeriya Strakhova of Ukraine but her opponent did not show up on the court. Winner between Lukas of Croatia and Barbieri of Italy will be a rival of Gorgodze in ¼ final.

In doubles tournament, Gorgodze and Milevskaya of Belarus defeated Boeykens of Belgium and Kremen of Belarus 6:3, 6:2 and are through ¼ final where they will play against Turkish sisters Esens.

In doubles draw of Antalya men’s tournament (10 000 USD), Giorgi Tsivadze and Nikoloz Basilashvili who is competing in the name of Russia lost to American-British duet (El-Effendi/Walsh) 7:6 (7:5), 3:6, 7:10.
