Two matches of the third round were held at the 23rd national football championship. Both matches ended up with scoreless draw.
“Spartak” – “Sioni”
“Spartak” is known as the most active Georgian team at summer transfer base. After losing in the second round in Martvili, “Spartak” transferred four football players. As for “Sioni”, the club cannot transfer players because of lack of money. The hosts had advantage in this match. But when you cannot use even one goal moment from many of them you should search the reason in yourself.
Zviad Metreveli and Revaz Jikia missed good moments. At the end of the match, Zviad Kantaria missed a good moment too. In short, “Spartak” was not lucky on this day. “Sioni” took a point in fairy tale.
