“Olimpi” found it hard to win the match but the club did it and now, it is leading the schedule. “Olimpi” advanced with a curious goal. Soon the club was scored a goal but Irakli Modebadze scored a decisive goal and made fans happy. “Wit Georgia” did its best and fought till the end. If they had a little fate, they could have gained a point.
We found a game layout of “Olimpi” a little strange: Lasha Japaridze who traditionally, plays on the left wing, was right defender this time. Denis Dobrovolsky played on the left wing. It seems that Japaridze will play on the position of Temur Gongadze (transferred to “Dinamo” Tbilisi) till the end of the season. Aleksandre Kvakhadze and Revaz Kemoklidze played in the center. Luka Razmadze played in midfield. Vako Tkemaladze and Davit Bolkvadze played near him. Irakli Maisuradze and Revaz Getsadze often changed wings. Irakli Modebadze was the only forward of “Olimpi”.
Defence line of “Wit Georgia” was the same as it was in the first circle (from right to left – Giga Bechvaia, Guram Adamadze, Lasha Kasradze, Revaz Ganiashvili).
The goal was scored unexpectedly. Irakli Maisuradze won a right to take a free kick. Bolkvadze took it. Goalkeeper Ardalion Mikaberidze and Bechvaia crashed into each other and the goal was scored – 1:0.
Soon, the guests scored a goal – Giorgi Koripadze assisted Chimakadze who kicked the ball in the empty goal.
Maisuradze, new player of “Olimpi”, was the most active player in the first half.
In the second half, Giorgi Kavtaradze substituted Tkemaladze and this change did good to the hosts. Kavtaradze played on the left wing and Maisuradze played in the center. “Olimpi” was in a hurry and wanted to win. Also, “Wit Georgia” did its best and made some dangerous moments – Adamadze shot the ball with head but Bediashvili parried it; Giorgi Janelidze assisted Chimakadze who did not kick well; Vasadze could not manage to kick well with left foot.
There was one moment when “Olimpi” demanded penalty. At the 68th minute, Bolkvadze was in the penalty area of “Wit Georgia”. He fell down and got yellow card for simulation. By the way, referee Tornike Gvantseladze used only 6 yellow cards, 3 of them was for simulations.
And the decisive goal which is worth describing. “Wit Georgia” was attacking the penalty area of its opponent but Kemoklidze and Razmadze managed to stabilize the situation. Then Bolkvadze assisted Modebadze who scored the goal – 2:1.
Nothing special happened in the rest of the time.
After the match:
Merab Kochlashvili: “I congratulate “Olimpi” on this victory. Both teams played devotedly and I want to thank my players. I am very satisfied with their playing. In my opinion, draw would have been more logical result. If Chimakadze, Vasadze and Janelidze had kicked better in the goal, we would have had different result”.
Tornike Maisuradze (general director and coach-selectionist of “Olimpi”): “First of all, I want to congratulate fans of “Olimpi” on this victory. As you see, we have restored fan-club and I hope their number will increase. The result is good but I am not satisfied with the quality of playing. We did not expect to win easily. “Wit Georgia” is a good club and we knew that it would be hard to beat it. As for presumable new players: the issue of Zakaria Beglarishvili and Irakli Klimiashvili is not depended only on us – first of all, “Flora” and “Anzhi” should make decision.
