Giorgi Sharabidze (210 cm) 21-year-old prospective Georgian basketball player, central forward of Georgian national team and “Armia” active champion of Georgia is injured for several months and due to it he missed the first circle of XXI Georgian national championship and EuroChallenge matches. Fortunately, Sharabidze is recovering and soon he will be able to start playing.
“World Sport” took an interview with Sharabidze.
- Can you remind us what kind of injury do you have?
- I have hernia between waist’s ribs and due to it I cannot play.
- When did this problem appear?
- After returning from Lithuania, where I was with Georgian national team and competed at final tournament of EuroBasket 2011.
- Did this trauma cause problems in “Armia”?
- On the contrary, everyone supported me much and did their best for my recovery.
- How authority of “Armia’ help you?
- They sent me to Istanbul (Turkey) for having treatment at Akibaden prestige clinic, where famous sportsmen have rehabilitation courses.
- Where did you continue treatment after returning from Turkey?
- Teimuraz Khedelidze a doctor of “Armia” treats me, he is a very good specialist.
- How do you feel now?
- Now I am training a little. In two weeks will be able to train in normal way. If something unexpected does not happen, I will help “Armia” in fighting for keeping Cup of Georgia.
- Which club do you consider as the main rival of “Army” in fight of keeping championship of Georgia?
- Our main rival is “Olimpi”. But, other clubs also can offer us surprises. Among them I would distinguish “Kutaisi-2010” and MIA.
