After winning bronze medal, Georgian freestyle wrestler Giorgi Gogshelidze (96kg) told “World Sport” that London Olympic Games were his last chance of winning gold medal because he has decided to finish career. European and world champion was not satisfied with himself but he stated it was because of injury.

-         It was the second disappointment at the Olympics. The first time it happened in Beijing. Now it is difficult to talk about reasons and to blame anyone. I must have made through final. All strong wrestlers were out of the Olympics and I could not use this chance. But there is one reason I have not talked before. I have injured my leg and I am not allowed to train not even compete in tournaments. I did my best but my leg did not let me do more.

It is a pity but it was the last Olympic chance for me. Before leaving Tbilisi I decided to finish career with this Olympics” – stated Giorgi Gogshelidze.

At that moment we watched on the monitor how heavyweight Warren of America won Olympic gold medal. Gogshelidze said he let the American become champion and went to dressing room.
