According to Ukrainian mass-media Vasil Gagiadze is to be released for “Tavriya” Simferopol. This information is reported based on Dmitry Seliuk, vice-president of the club.
Contract between 34-year-old Georgian player and the club expires at the end of this year and according to Seliuk, the club is not to continue cooperation with Gigiadze. Gigiadze has to search new club as free agent.
Gigiadze played 176 matches for “Tavriya” (2000-2003, 2004-2005, 2008-2011) and scored 41 goals. Besides Simferopol, he was playing for “Kryvbas” and “Naftovik”. In total he held 245 matches and scored 61 goals in Ukraine. By the way, in history of independent Ukrainian championship kicked 30 penalties and scored 27 ones. According to such result he is leader in scoring penalty kicks in Ukraine.
