In the first round of World Team Chess Championship, Georgian national women’s team won over South African team 4:0. Lela Javakhishvili, Bela Khotenashvili, Nino Khurtsidze and Salome Melua succeeded, as a result Armenia and Georgia lead the current standings. Armenians beat the Greeek, China had difficult fight with Russia, but in spite of this managed to win. The only draw was played between India and Ukraine.  World championship is to finish on December 27, after nine rounds. In Round 2, Armenia’s women will face Georgia.
