Georgian Team Gains the Second Victory

 

In the final match of the second day of the tournament named after outstanding Georgian water-polo player –Nodar Gvakharia Georgian U-17 team played against Belarus at sports complex “Olympic”. Georgian national team gained victory convincingly -16:2. Shalamits and Kaniucha scored from Belarusian team , as for Georgian team, Andro Bitadze son of Aleksandre Bitadze president of Georgian Water-polo Federation, was top-scorer, he scored 4 goals.  

Gia Natsvlishvili (president of Georgian national Olympic committee): “I am very pleased with our guys’ playing, but decisive match against Turkey is ahead us. It is newsworthy that we have a very high-level team. Progress of national team is really distinguished. I am sure that they will do well at 2014 European championship too and will create foundation of a good team”.

Sandro Bitadze (president of Georgian Water-Polo Federation):

“We are pleased of today’s match. Our guys really did well. We defeated Belarusians with a big point difference, but in spite of this I do not want to appraise Georgian team too much. Tomorrow we have very principal match against Turkish team, because they have quite strong team and they are one of the best in Europe. The name of the winner will be found out tomorrow and I am completely sure that our guys will manage to win this cup”.
