International archery tournament has started in the capital of England, London. The tournament is known as “Olympic test”. Georgian team started participation in the prestigious tournament with Kristine Esebua, Khatuna Narimanidze and Asmat Diasamidze. They competed in individual and team tournaments.
At the individual tournament, Esebua took the 23rd place with 623 points. Narimanidze took the 25th place and Diasamidze took the last place with 575 points. Esebua competed in playoff and defeated Jessica Tomas of Italy 6:0 (28:25, 27:22, 26:21). In 1/6 final, she lost to Yuting Fang of China 1:7 (26:27, 23:26, 28:28, 27:28).
In the evening, Narimanidze will compete against Kater Wraking of Canada. On October 8, Diasamidze will compete against Katerina Palekha of Ukraine. At the team tournament, Georgian team lost to Danish team 195:207 in the first round.
Georgians shared the 9th-13th places. Koreans won gold medals. They won over China 220:208. Japan beat Great Britain 206:200 for the third place.
