Georgian Archer Gained License

 

 

Georgian National Olympic Committee is going to apply to the Lausanne court of arbitration for sport for returning the seized licenses. Though, Georgian archers managed to mobilize and gained one license at World Individual Championship.

Two Georgian sportswomen Kristine Esebua and Khatuna Narimanidze went through 1/16 final of World Championship which is underway in the city of Italy, Turin. Esebua will continue fighting for medal.

Kristine turned out sensation of the championship. After the qualifying round, she was No.39 seed but she beat five opponents. Esebua won over Belarusian Kuzniatsova 7:3. Then, she beat Indian Svuro 6:2, North Korean Kwon 6:0, British Oliver and Korean Yung 6:4.

On July 10, Chinese Yuting Fang will be opponent of Georgian archer in semifinal.

Narimanidze was No.12 seed and beat Czech Sudrichova 6:2 in the first round. Then, she won over British Bytron 7:1, Italian Tomas 6:5 and Japanese Hayakawa 7:3. In ¼ final, Georgian sportswoman lost against Van Lamoen 0:6.
