Today, Georgian and Turkish U-17 water polo teams played for Nodar Gvakharia Trophy at water complex “Olympic”. Georgians won 8:7. Davit Kakulia scored 3 goals from the winner team. Ozbakis scored 5 goals from Turkish team.

Belarus defeated Kazakhstan 10:7 in the first match of the day. Belarus took the third place with 1 victory and 2 losses. Kazakhstan took the last place with 3 losses. Turkey is in the second place with 2 victories and 1 loss. Georgia has not lost one match and is in the first place with 3 victories.

Prize winners of the tournament were awarded with medals and trophies. The best water polo players were awarded with special prizes.

The best forward – Andro Bitadze (son of Sandro Bitadze, president of Georgian Water Polo Federation)

The best top scorer – Ozbakis (Turkey)

Davit Revia (water polo player of Georgian team): “We had very strong opponents. Turkish team was the strongest among them. That is why we found it difficult to win. However, we won anyway”.

Ersin Ozdurak (head coach of Turkish team): “This tournament gave us a great experience. We held only six trainings before coming to Georgia. Next year we will become champions for sure. We liked your city very much. Everything is good here – food, people… we are very satisfied and I want to thank you for your hospitability”.
