In the second round of World Team Chess Championship, Georgian national women’s team celebrated victory and kept leadership. On the second day of the tournament, which is underway in the city of Turkey, Mardin Georgians won over Armenian team 2.5:1.5. Nana Dzagmidze played the biggest role in this success.
Leader of Georgian national women’s team beat Elina Danielyan with white pieces, while others – Lela Javakhishvili, Bela Khotenashvili and Nino Khurtsidze played draws, as a result Dzagnidze’s victory was decisive.
China and Russia has two-two victories as well as Georgian team, which are also leaders. Russians won over Ukrainian ream 3:1, as for the Chinese, they won over outsider South Africa – 4:0. In the third round, which is to be held on December 20, Georgian team plays against Vietnam. Vietnamese lost with Russia 1.5:2,5 in the first round and with the same score with Greece in the second round.
The tournament includes 9 rounds and finishes on December 27.
