Georgian National U-20 Team lost the last match at division B of European U-20 Championship which is underway in the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sarajevo. In spite of this failure Georgian team managed to take the first place in group A.
In the match against Romania Georgian basketball players played the first quarter 19:19, but after time-out they advanced with 5 points. In the third quarter Romanians won with five points. The fourth quarter finished with equal points and that’s why there was held additional period. Georgians managed to win it with four point advance.
o, Georgian U-20 Team and its groupmate Estonian National Team are in E group now. Denmark and Bulgaria are also in this group. On July 20 at 16:00 o’clock Georgians play against Bulgarians and on July 21 at 20:30 o’clock against Denmark. Team which take the first and the second places go through semi-final and winners in semi-final go through division A, in spite of results of final.
