Georgia Is Left beyond World Team Championship

World Judo Team Championship may be held without Georgian team. Today, some foreign websites published names of those 8 countries which will compete in World Championship in Istanbul. Only three European teams are among them: Turkey, Russia and France. Georgia is not discussed even as a reserve version. Azerbaijan was awarded with this honor.
"Our team competes especially successfully at Team Championships. According to recent results, we must have been in the request form of Turkey without a doubt. But then we found out that nobody paid attention to team achievements in this case. Participants were invited to Istanbul considering results of individual world champions 2009 and 2010. France, Russia and host Turkey filled the limit which was for Europe. But we still hope, that International Judo Federation will make fair changes. We found out this unexpected news by foreign website and we immediately started working on it. I will use international contacts to solve this problem. I will do my best to return Georgian judokas to World Team Championship" - stated Giorgi Aleksidze, acting president of Georgian Judo Federation, in an interview with "World Sport".
