Georgian women’s tennis team beat Turkish team in Europe-African Group II of Federation Cup and won right to play in semifinal. In case of another victory, the team of Lali Zerekidze will play in Group I.

In today’s matches, Tatia Mikadze won 1:6, 6:1, 7:5, Sopo Shapatava – 6:3, 6:2. In doubles draw, Georgians were winning 3:2 when the ball shot by Mikadze bit the opponent and Turkish tennis player could not manage to continue playing.

In semifinal, winner between Finland and Portugal will be opponent of Georgia.
