Georgian national U-17 rugby team won over Romanian team 27:6 in qualifying round match of European U-18 championship. The match was held in the capital of Romania, Bucharest. Georgians managed to score 4 tries and besides victory they gained premium point. As far as you know, in June Georgian national team won over Russia, Romania and Ukraine and managed to win “The Black Sea Cup”. As a result they got right of playing at European championship among reps of “Six Nations”. But international rugby bosses have changed this decision and now Georgian national teams against tries to win this following right. Then, in final match young “The Lelos” won over opponent 27:8 and this time they again showed their advantages.
In qualifying tournament were 4 participant teams. In the second match of the first round Portugal won over Belgium 23:19 and Portuguese gained 4 points. Belgians gained one premier point. After the third round, two best teams will fight against England, France, Wales, Ireland, Scotland and Italy at European championship. Georgian rugby players will hold the next match against Belgian team on November 1 and in case of gaining premier point, they will guarantee the first and the second places and relevantly playing in elite round.
