The two-day meeting of The UEFA Executive Committee, which was for making decision about applicants of hosting European championship 2020, was completed. The meeting was held in Istanbul.

Invitations will be send within 53 UEFA national associations, where will be listed all the necessary criteria for hosting European championship- the numbers of stadiums and their capacity. National associations should fix their wish of hosting final stage of European championships, which will involve 24 teams, not later on May 15.

Not long ago Mikhail Saakashvili president of Georgia while giving a speech in Milli-Majlis stated that Georgia and Azerbaijani would make application together for hosting Euro-2020.

The delegation of Georgian football federation is paying visit in Istanbul. Georgian delegation was to meet Azerbaijani counterparts in informal environment, where they will discuss making joint application for hosting Euro-2020.

 It is newsworthy that Ukraine has already spent 4.5 billion USD, Poland – 1.3 billion for hosting this tournament. It must be mentioned that this amount of money will be increased before ending the final stage of this tournament. It is hard to say how Georgia as well as Azerbaijan will be able to spend solid amount of money for this. Moreover, Ukraine and Poland before becoming hosts of European championship had better infrastructure in comparison with Georgia-Azerbaijan.
