World tour beach volleyball which is underway under the auspices of Beijing Grand Slam will continue without Georgian pairs. Women’s duet Saka-Rtvelo could not overcome the qualifying draw. Men’s duet Geor-Gia could not overcome the group stage in the main round.

Geor-Gia (Brazilian volleyball players Renato Gomes and Jorge Terceiro) needed one victory for overcoming Group P though they could not achieve the goal.

Brazilian Georgians lost to Americans (Fuerbringer-Lucena, No.7) – 0:2 (16:21, 14:21), Chinese duet (Xue-Wu, No.10) – 0:2 (17:21, 15:21) and Zealanders – 1:2 (21:18, 14:21, 16:18).

Geor-Gia earned 80 ranking points and 3 500 USD in Beijing. Next tournament will take place in Prague where another stage of world tour is planned to take place on May 22-27. Gomes and Terceiro will start competition from the qualifying round.
