Sergey Anisimov, general director of “Volga” Nizhny Novgorod, stated in the conversation with “Sovetski Sport” why they seized accounts of Gogita Gogua and Lasha Salukvadze.
“First of all, I want to say that our activities are legal. I suggest former managers of the club to hold a press conference to find out their position. Let them express their position about contracts with players. I doubt it will happen. We have contracts where it is written that the football players will be paid compensation for the expenses of moving to Nizhny Novgorod. There are two different conceptions in Tax Code – compensation for moving and “padiomni”. In our case, the contract contains compensation for moving. According to the law, this compensation is paid for actual expenses which the football players must prove with documents. According to the terms of the contract, the club paid part of the money as advance. Before paying the rest of the money, I, as a new manager, demanded report of expenses. The football players have already moved to Nizhny Novgorod, have not they?!
Besides that, the issue of Gogua and Salukvadze was discussed at Dispute Resolution Chamber of Russian Football Union and the decision was made in the favor of “Volga”. Also, the Chamber welcomed our suggestion to apply for a Court of General Jurisdiction. By the way, representatives of the players who blame us for applying for the court did it themselves.
Gogua and Salukvadze are not our players anymore. They did not leave the club. They were dismissed for not showing up at work. After December holiday they showed up neither at the meeting nor at the office. The statement that nobody informed them sounds unprofessional.
Anyway, there are three instances in the court and not all of them are in Nizhny Novgorod district. If the football players lived and worked in Russia, then they must prove their truth with Russian laws”, - stated Anisimov.
“Volga” seized accounts of Gogua and Salukvadze and litigated them.
