21-year-old Elene Gedevanishvili took the 7th place among 10 participants in Hilton HHonors Skate America, which was held in the US, California.
In short program Elene gained 42,51 points and took the last place among ten skaters and as a result she was very disappointed.
Fortunately, Georgian skater managed to mobilize and in free program, which was her weak point in the previous tournament, did well. She gained 97.61 points in free program,, her total score was 140.12 points.
She took the third place after Italian Carolina Kostner and American Alice Chzisny, who took the first and the second places.
There will be held five stages of Grand Prix (Canada, China, Japan, France and Russia) and winners after six rounds will be found out on December 8-11. Winner will gain 15 ranking points and other prize winners will gain the following points: II – 13, III – 11, IV – 9, V – 7, VI – 5, VII – 4, VIII – 3. Gedevanishvili owns 4 points and till the end of the year will compete at one more tournament. On November 11-13 she will skate at NHK Trophy in Japan. In total 35 girls fight for Grand Prix.
