Merab Gagunashvili (2547) has the best result among the Georgians. He played draw with Babu Lalit (India, 2579) with black pieces and is in the 7^th place with 5.0 points.

After the defeat with Rajpara Ankit (India, 2443) Levan Pantsulaia dropped to the 17^th place with 4.5 points, Tornike Sanikidze (2541) played draw with Rahul Sangma (2336) and is in the 43th position with 4.0 points.

In the 8^th round Gagunashvili plays against Chakravarti Deepan (India, 2475) with white pieces, Pantsulaia faces Ratnakaran (India, 2401) and Sanikidze will compete with Shivananda (2331) with black pieces.
