Freestyle Wrestlers Named Two Staffs

 

Georgian freestyle wrestling team will participate in two international tournaments in one week. According to the decision of Georgian Wrestling Federation and coaches, Georgian team will compete in Yasar Dogu Memorial with renewed staff. This tournament will be held on February 10-12. Leaders of weight classes will leave for Ukraine in several days and will participate in the Kiev tournament on February 15-16.

On Thursday, Georgian delegation will depart for Ankara with the following staff: Tristan Chirgadze (55kg), Giorgi Baliashvili, Beka Lomtadze, Murtaz Kvesadze (all – 60kg), Giorgi Tsutskiridze (66kg), Giorgi Marsagishvili (74kg), Maradi Zoidze (84kg), Davit Kerashvili, Mamuka Kordzaia (96kg), Levan Seturidze (120kg), Davit Otiashvili (coach), Gela Janelidze (referee).

Here is the second staff: Vladimer Khinchegashvili, Besarion Guchashvili (55kg), Mikheil Zarkua (60kg), Zurab Iakobashvili (66kg), Davit Khutsishvili (74kg), Davit Marsagishvili (84kg), Elizbar Odikadze (96kg), Davit Modzmanashvili (120kg). Zaza Turmanidze, Davit Khurtsia and Aleksandre Kakhniashvili will take the team to Kiev. Edisher Machaidze is invited to the tournament as a referee.

Leader of two weight classes will not be able to depart for Kiev. Otar Tushishvili (66kg) has recovered from injury but is not on form. After the consultation with Giorgi Gogshelidze (96kg), coaches decided it would be better for Gogshelidze not to compete in the tournament.
