Freestyle Wrestlers Filled the List on the Wall

Two signatures are added to the license board which is in the press conference hall of Georgian National Olympic Committee. Otar Tushishvili (66kg), member of freestyle wrestling team, and Soso Jabidze (96kg), member of Greco-Roman wrestling team, gained London licenses in the city of China, Ta-Yuan. Freestyle wrestling team has participants in all weight classes for Olympiad. Greco-Romans have left 4 from 7 weight classes.

“Otar Tushishvili achieved his goal and the last license tournament is not important for freestyle wrestling team. Each member of our Olympiad team can fight for Olympic medal and I believe, they will not disgrace themselves in London. I can say the same about Soso Jabidze who is potential candidate of threesome. Greco-Romans have licenses only in three weight classes but I think, they can fully complete the list”, - stated Gia Natsvlishvili, president of National Olympic Committee.

Kakha Getsadze, president of Georgian Wrestling Federation, congratulated license winners on Chinese success. He mentioned that license marathon of London Olympic Games is more difficult than it was before.

On May 3, Olympic Committee will hold the press conference for judo team which will leave for Olympiad with whole team.

27 Georgians have made license norms. 24 of them will depart for London. Though, coaches must make the final decision in weightlifting and wrestling.
