According to the decision of Judo National Federation, season 2010 will end up with that tournament which opened it. On November 25-26, Georgian Freestyle Judo Championship will be held at Digomi Judo Academy. Expanded staff of the team will be found out at the championship. This team will participate in European Championship 2011.
On the first day winners will be found out in 4 weight classes - 55, 60, 66 and 74 kg. On second day champions and prize winners will be found out in 84, 96 and 120 kg.
According to the decision of the federation and team coaches, all members of the team must participate in Georgian Championship. Those who will not participate, will not compete in European Championship. Malkhaz Jorbenadze, general secretary of Judo Federation, stated to "World Sport", in case of need, wrestlers will make such sanctions too.
It is known, that Giorgi Gogshelidze, one of the leaders of freestyle team, will not participate in the championship. He presented a notice which proves that he has injury.Neither Revaz Mindorashvili will wrestle. According to Jorbenadze, Olympic champion is still treating in Germany and will start wrestling in summer with Vakhtang Balavadze Tbilisi Traditional International Tournament. Tengiz Chochishvili (60 kg), member of youth team, European and World prize winner has knee injury. According to the preliminary information, except these three judokas, other members do not have injury.
Unlike judo, 32 sportsmen will wrestle in each weight classes in wrestling. TV broadcasting of final matches is not planned and neither foreign consultant has been invited.
Matches of Georgian Freestyle Judo Championship will start at 11:00. Time of final matches is not known yet. became break will not be before decisive matches.
