Free-Style Wrestlers Started with Bronze of Kvelashvili

 

 

Today free-style young wrestlers started competition at World Youth Championship, which is underway in the city of Thailand, Pattaya. Champions and prize winners were found out in four weight categories from eight. Four members of Georgian national team also wrestled and only Jumber Kvelashvili (74kg) became bronze prize winner.
Kvelashvili lost chance of winning gold-silver medal in quarter-final. Before failure with Ahmed Dudarov (2:4, 4:6) of Germany, he beat Hungarian Szombor Ishtvan Gulias (3:1, 2:0) and Egyptian Muhamed Ali Zaglul (3:2, 5:3). For bronze medal he beat Chinese Ziing Yan (2:0, 6:0) and in decisive fight he beat Azerbaijani Elkhan Usubzada (2:0, 1:1).

Beka Bujiasvili (50kg) started competition from the 1/8 final and lost Turkish Muamar Sanchak (1:6, 4:5). Lasha Bitarashvili (60kg) wrestled twice at Thai tatami. He also started competition from the 1/8 final, where he beat Japanese Masakazu Kamoi (4:1, 7:0) but then lost with Maxim Perelita (2:3, 0:2). Giorgi Meshvildishvili (96kg) lost at the beginning with Russian Magomedgaj Nurov (1:3, 2:2)
Tomorrow champions and prize winner will be found out in four weight categories. Lasha Talakhadze (55kg), Konstantine Khabalashvili (66kg), Levan Gogrichiani (84 kg) and Geno Petriashvili (120 kg) will represent Georgia.
