France VS Georgia- this time at "Stade de France"

 

Georgian and French national teams played against each other in the first qualifying round of European championship 2008. 

Georgian national team which head coach was Claus Topmuler a German specialist at that time in the group of World Championship 2006, where there were Italy, the vice-champion France, 1/4 finalist Ukraine, The Dutch and The Fareo Islands. 

In the first qualifying match Georgians beat the Fareo Islands 6:0 and held the second match against the French at "Boris Paichadze" stadium, which was full of spectators.

Unfortunately, then Georgians could not manage to show the relevant resistance against The French and lost 0:3.

In the qualifying round of Euro 2008, Georgia and France played against each other for the second time in Auxerre in summer 2007. In spite of advantage of the French team, they scored only one goal against the Georgians on “l’Abbe-Deschamps”.

On March 22, at "Stade France" Georgian national team plays against France, the third times in history. The match starts at 12:00 a.m (Tbilisi time) and GPB will have LIVE broadcasting of this match. Ivan Bebek will the main refree of the match.
